c2: radian measure

TOOLS

C2

Have you ever got a trig question wrong because you accidentally changed the units on your calculator?

Up until now, you have used degrees to measure angles. This is because mathematicians from 2000 years ago divided one complete turn into 360 units.

Now we will explore different units for measuring angles which although might appear a bit unnecessary at first, makes life much easier. It will also be important next year when we start looking at the gradients of trig functions in C3.
