C1: Equations and inequalities

Simultaneous Equations

Linear Inequalities

Quadratic Inequalities

C1

You will certainly have studied how to solve simultaneous equations at G.C.S.E. There are two main techniques (elimination and substitution) and you need to know both.

Linear inequalities appear very simple at first - just like equations but be careful if you multiply or divide by a negative number because the inequality sign changes.

Quadratic inequalities can be best solved by sketching a quadratic graph.  However, always make sure you check your work at the end by choosing a value and substituting it in the original inequality to see if it works

All this work is fundamental to the rest of the course and you must make sure you are excellent at this.

This video is seriously weird. Please don't bring any drums into my lesson.
