Breaux Bridge to San Antonio - 418 miles
Early start at 8am, drove through Houston in the rain and gloom. Texas green and pleasant here. Long day but not too difficult to rack up the miles. Weather got better as we travelled west. Gloom made Houston look bad. Stopped at a Dennys around Katy, a suburb of Houston, which was actually in Berkshire we were told. Drove on to San Antonio. HIE just off the freeway, seemed okay. Walked into town and found Riverwalk, did a bit of it, found a bar, had a couple of beers, went back to hotel. Had a beer there, waitress not pleasant. Good breakfast there next morning with Mick’s $20 voucher. Mexican food mixed with eggs and bacon.
